1995 Volkswagen Jetta III review from North America

Regular maintenance things have taken place like the batter dieing, brakes. One thing that is a thorn in my side is the dagblasted oil leak. I'm really salty about this because I purchased this car @ 40 thousand miles and immediately started having the vw dealer service it. Used car engine warranty is 50 thousand miles. The car had to be leaking before the 50 thousand mile mark because right past the warranty period the vw dealer gave me an est on repairing the leak back in 1995. I ensued vicious battle to get them to cover the cost because they knew it had been leaking before my jetta got to 50k because they had been doing the oil change since 40k. The bulds of the techometer have gone out serveral times, the door lock tumbler on my passenger car doesn't work. It requires a replacement of a newly redesigned one vw should have made gratis to all who on this model. The anti freeze disappears into thin air and I have to refill it occasionally..

This is my 2nd jetta and I'm just in love with the jettas audies and passats.. my car has never really given me a problem.. I got 199 thousand miles out of my 90 jetta and still would be driving that one had I not planted in a hillside one dark night driving while sleeping. VW I should hope by now has resolved the oil leak issues because I've seen the 05's which I plan on purchasing.
