1998 Volkswagen Jetta review from North America

What things have gone wrong with the car?
Window Regulators made of Plastic?..failed twice.
Impeller blade also plastic. Water Pump failed.
Brake light switch failed.. recalled.
Volume Control on Radio sometimes backward (counterclockwise turns it up)
Catalytic converter shot at 60,000 miles.
Constant musty smell in cabin.
General comments?
Worst car I've ever owned hands down.
NOT ACCESSIBLE FOR REPAIR WITHOUT A MILLION SPECIAL TOOLS, AND WILLINGNESS TO TAKE THE WHOLE CAR APART.
