What things have gone wrong with the car?
Engine swap at 98,000.
Struts twice.
Headlamp assembly.
Starter at 170,000.
Alternator at 170,000.
Clutch at 97,000 and 169,000.
Brake calipers 3 times.
Electrical is going at 183,000.
General comments?
The car is a lot of fun to drive. It feels like you're driving a more expensive sports car. It handles very well and has a great look to it.
Unfortunately the cost of parts is ridiculously expensive. If you start to have major problems with your Volkswagen you may as well be driving a Porsche or BMW.
