2002 Volkswagen Jetta GLS review from North America
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I bought my VW Jetta as a "certified used car" at 22,000 miles. By the time I hit 30k miles I had it taken in to have the entire air conditioning unit replaced. Minor things have happened hear and there such as a turn signal that wouldn't turn off, center arm rest broke, CD changer stopped changing cd's and a spring fell out of the drivers seat (i only weigh 125 lbs.) As of right now my car is at the dealer having a new transmission replaced at 50k miles. Brakes are extremely expensive to replace $750.
General comments?
Nice car, held up well in a minor car accident (compared to the other car). Extremely expensive to maintain and has too many issues. Will be purchasing another honda civic as my next car. I've already owned one and it has proved to be very reliable, cheap to maintain, and didn't give many problems. It ran great when I traded it in at 145k miles.
