Purchased a Jetta for my daughter.. It had a strong odor LIKE DEAD FISH. I know this smell, it is the dye they used in the fabric interior etc. I thought the smell would go away, but after almost 6 months it is still stinking like crazy. Anyone else have this problem? My e-mail is ckar@aol.com.
Car is great except for the interior.. Kinda cheap and smells like FISH.
Did you try febreze? Also check to make sure there isn't a leak somewhere, like under the floor mats or trunk mat. Standing water doesn't tend to smell very good after a while if stuff grows in it.
