2002 Volkswagen Jetta GLS review from North America
"Not worth it"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Clutch went after 10,000 miles.
Ignition coils went twice before they finally replaced all of them!
Mass airflow sensor went bad at 20,000.
Oxygen sensor has gone bad twice; once at 35,000 and again at 70,000.
Front hub bearings went bad at 48,000 and went bad again at 68,000 - VW stated that they have no "warranty" on "warrantied" parts!
Trunk latch broke at 75,000.
Driver seat foam is falling apart at 45,000 - No warranty.
Engine is extremely loud! I brought it to the dealership to be fixed. They never fixed it!
I need new cv joints at 75,000.
Replaced ball joints, front and rear pads and rotors, and shock absorbers at 75,000.
Paint peeling inside and outside of the car.
Random springs found on floor of car.
General comments?
I like the power in the engine, but dislike all the headaches just for that one thing! LEMON!
