2002 Volkswagen Jetta GLS review from North America
"I love this car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The driver's side tail light has gone out about half a dozen times. It seems to be fixed now. It's just been a little bit of a nuisance. I don't drive much at night though.
The front right side window fell off the tracks. This also happened with my first jetta, a 1996, and my sister's 1998 (I think) Jetta so I wasn't all that surprised. Again, more of a nuisance than a catastrophe.
Other than that there haven't been any major problems.
General comments?
It was totaled and rebuilt when my sister bought it (I bought it from her when she moved and no longer needed it). It runs great. It rev's a little high I think. It's nice and peppy and very fun to drive! I've always loved the way Jetta's shift. The steering is great and it really likes the turns. I plan on keeping this car for many more years and would definitely consider buying another Jetta.
