1997 Volkswagen Jetta GL review from North America
"My VISTA CRUISER!!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
It's apparant that the driver's seat has worn a little and the fabric has began to deteriorate, I was gonna replace'em anyway.
I also had to replace the transmission only because the reverse gear was stripped almost completely, not the manufacturer's fault mind you.
General comments?
I have to say it was one of my dream cars as corny as it may sound, I love the 90's body styles in most cars because they can be sporty, but still have that squared off/boxy quality.
Especially after I was done with my after-market upgrades, this car is only 4 cyl. with an intake, but it's garunteed quicker than the majority of most newer cars in my town.
Everyone here is obsessed with the "fast and the furious" movies. I must say, nice cars, but they films would have been better without characters or a plot. :) The Jetta in the first movie is gorgious, but not as stylish as mine.
I honestly can't think of one wanna be street racer in this god forsaken town that can take my jetta, there's a lot of Nos and turbo stickers on cars, but does anyone here really have them, or even know what they are??? doubt it.
