2006 Volkswagen Passat package 1 review from North America
"Luxurious"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Electrical problems within the first week of owning the car. No turn signals, lights, and key kept getting stuck in the ignition, not able to start the car at times. Dealer fixed all problems over one weekend. Since then, the care has been wonderful to drive.
General comments?
Feels very luxurious, for only $26,000.
Lots of compartments, and a lot of nice features. I love the umbrella holder in the door, heated seats, trip tronic transmission, A/C compartments for drinks and sandwiches, sunglass holder, sunroof, list is very long... I can't imagine getting the fully loaded Passat, I am totally content with this car. The seats are very comfortable. And the car is very easy to drive. It also make sharp turns, and gets in to tight corners nicely. Much better than my cabrio, which is a much smaller car.
