1984 Volkswagen Polo review from North America
"My car of the 80's"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Between 5,000 and 45,000 The brakes (pads and rotors) had to be replaced 8 times and don't ask Why.
Clutch went at 23,000.
The speakers blew at 37,000.
Other than this and all the problems with the brakes the car has been very reliable.
General comments?
Very fuel efficient but had no pickup and power and was not a fun to drive car.
It did have a lot of interior room but was not even close to comfortable.
The brakes on this car wear out very fast!
If you use the brakes alot then this is not the car for you.
