1986 Volkswagen Polo review from UK and Ireland
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The major problem on this car was the suspension, and being so low to the ground does not help.
When I bought it there was rust, but it was 11 years old; usually any car that's more than 10 years old rusts don't they?
The window seal leaked and fixed that.
After that the car leaked oil and that was too expensive to fix, so I just got rid of the car. I only had it a few months.
General comments?
This car is fun to drive around town, but not on long drives. As small as it looks, I'm 6'4 and I weigh 245 with all muscle (I was on the high school football team when I had the car). I was able to fit just fine in that car.
As much muscle as I have, this car had none, so I couldn't ever race.
