1981 Volkswagen Polo Saloon review from UK and Ireland
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Failure to start reliably.
Blown engine at 65,000 miles.
Gear box linkage problems.
Stater motor at 70,000.
General comments?
The resistance to rust shown by the body was superb, other than that it was slow, thirsty, a bad starter, uncomfortable, bad handling, the WORST brakes I've ever used and poor lights.
Couldn't get rid of it quick enough.
