1986 Volkswagen Scirocco GTX 16v review from Netherlands
"It's the most amazing car I've driven and will drive in the next few years"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Gearbox broke down the day I bought her, fixed this the same day and went cruising.
4 months later the hall-module failed, put the car on hold and repaired it 2 months later.
haven't had a problem since...
General comments?
Well...a Scirocco is a car for a real fanatic, once you've driven one, you'll never want any other car.
This car has everything a driver wants, it's old, it breaks down from time to time, it's uncomfortable, it has amazing handling. And most of all... the 16v KR engine never stops impressing, it has a standard 139HP which I ticked up to a little over 170HP, so it's fast... for a 20 year old car.
