1976 Volkswagen Type I Standard Sedan review from North America

The car started to stall and hesitate to start at times, but we fix this by removing the Fuel Injection computer as we brought the car carburated. It leaks brake fluid, it roasted my Moody Blues tape, and it also caught fire under the rear seat as my Dad was cleaning the rear window.

Very roomy! I'm almost 7' and it made me feel short compared to other cars! I'm 17 but I'm using this as my starter car as it was cheap and as soon as I set my eyes on it I knew I couldn't refuse to buy it. Theres the usual floorboard rust with some tiny holes and it was repainted from bright blue to dark blue and is also missing various trim peices, but hey I like bugs that look a little worn out. It also handles very well and is a sinch to park as you really don't even have to try when parking this thing, its slim! You can drive for 30 minutes in it too and it'll seem like 10. This bugs also pretty energetic as there have been a few times where I felt like speeding through my neiborhood. To sum it up people may buy ridiculous $1000 shiny and huge rims for lame cars, but $1100 was all that was needed to buy this great car though I prefer to be with my Dad when he's around it just so he dosen't get toasted as both fires happened when he was working on it alone. My Dad and I drove to a car show once and even though there was shiny hot rods and clean muscle cars our lil' bug still caught more attention, and it wasn't even in the show!
