Windshield washer hoses leaked over electrical when pressurized- wrecked signal/hazard relay.
Surprisingly poor performance in winter (water in tank and bad after-market carburetor installed by P.O.)
This is a great vehicle for summer outings- from weekend getaways to cross- country tours. They are SO cheap and easy to fix. Parts are readily available and for low cost as well. Mileage in town isn't the greatest, considering the small engine, but if you aren't paying much else, but insurance on it per month, its not too bad. Cold in the winter unless it has good, intact heater boxes, pipes, insulation and seals. Rust can be a problem sometimes, depending on where the vehicle has been living for its life and how much the previous owners took care of it, but like parts, new body metal is also available for good prices as well. This was my first car, being a teenager and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made.
Have you actually driven this thing cross-country yet?
