1973 Volkswagen Type II Campmobile review from Australia and New Zealand
"If you like going places far and wide and have that mobility this vehicle is for you"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Rust, rust and more rust! But I have managed to eliminate this problem over the past 3 years. I have just had a new clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing and seals put in. nothing else major.
General comments?
My Campmobile travels on the open road like an absolute dream! Very comfortable, can, and have driven for hours and hours, stopping only for refuelling and a bite to eat and still feel good once arriving at the destination. Around town is another story with it being a bit of a pain changing gears etc and chews up a bit of petrol too.
