Rust hole on near side rear wheel arch
New set of brake pads
Couple of oil changes
Tuned engine
Door badly bent in break in (pushed it back, but leaks in the car wash)
Welding on sills
new radiator
replaced spring in ignition switch.
Al these repairs actually cost me very little.
Seats are comfortable, but a little dated now
Nippy acceleration for a car of its age (boy racers in novas look out!)
Rear wheel drive so doesn't handle well on round abouts (that's how I lost my old car)
Awesome on straights
poor car stereo.
I have an '88 340 GL - lately it's been going through oil and water at an alarming rate. The diagnosis was that it probably needs a replacement cylinder head gasket, but the mechanic isn't sure without taking the whole thing apart. Anyone know of any other possibilities that would cause similar symptoms? And what should I expect to pay to repair this?
