1989 Volvo 440 Limited Edition review from UK and Ireland
"Volvo, not bad, not good, just average"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Dam fuel system, everyone who has a carb model get an inline filter on it, carb jets blocked twice, vapour seperator blocked once. Reverse lights don't work, blow fuses, so no heated seats.
Bolt holding clutch cable to pedal sheared, worst job I've ever done on a car, nightmare.
Big rust spot on the o/s front wing, I've seen another two with the same??
General comments?
Quite quick, loves to cruise at 100+ hates to cruise at 30. Idles like a bag of poo, but believe this to be normal, rear brake adjusters suck too.
Comfy car though, takes loads of gear and still flies round country roads (if you've got the courage), blends into the background.
