1988 Volvo 480 ES 1.7L from UK and Ireland
Summary:
Practical, fun, sort of sporty, slightly un-Volvo-like car
Faults:
Nothing really went wrong with it except it had a parcel shelf cover instead of an actual shelf and the joiners seemed to break.
General Comments:
I wouldn't say this is a hot hatch as it is too heavy. It has a bit of power, but a MK1 Golf will still leave you standing.
It is a very comfortable car though and I found it very practical.
I'd go for the 2.2L Turbo though! Or something even better.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Our 1988 480ES 1.7 already came with Volvo alloy wheels.
