Brake pads and exhaust replaced.
No other expenditure.
Has proved totally reliable.
Comfortable, especially on long trips.
Heavy on fuel and a bit under-powered.
I just bought a 89 740 GL, it runs great. Only problem is that when I wash it, it won't start up again until about 10 minutes.
It's very good on gas!
Good cars, but terrible on gas! 19-21 mpg is terrible for a 4-cylinder engine... even if it is turbocharged!
