1997 Volvo 740 GLE review from North America
"An excellent quality and safe family car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Alternator brushes replaced.
Motor mounts, front seals and water pump replaced at 200,000 miles.
Headliner is sagging (stapled back up) and dash board is cracked, which is very common with this model.
General comments?
The car still runs very well. It burns about 1/2 quart of oil every 5000 miles and still gets about 26 MPG on average.
