1989 Volvo 760 Turbo review from North America
"The Best Darn Ride I Have Ever Owned!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Fuel Gauge is Sketchy
Tail Light goes in and out
Runs a little hot, but not too bad
Some kind of ticking in the motor bay
Limited slip went out at about 290,000 Miles.
General comments?
I have owned Fords, Pontiacs, Toyota Tercell, and a 1994 Volvo 850 Wagon, and I have found that my '89 Volvo 760 Turbo sedan is a much better vehicle. The 850 handled more like a refridgerator on wheels than a car, and my current Volvo handles more like a BMW. It's the Most Reliable car I've had in a long time. Like everyone says it's one quick brick! Weighing in at about 4,300 lbs my volvo has taken newer trucks off the line and at the same time has the endurence to travel at 100 mph for over 60 miles. I havn't had any major problems that render it dead, but I'm still gaining in mileage and I know it will run for a nother 10,000 at least cause it's a Volvo!
