1996 Volvo 850 GLT review from North America
"A car that is built to last many years"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Had a new rear seal put In the car before the car left the dealership when it was bought.
Had a new upper bushing mount put in
after a few months of ownership.
Car was originally sold in Texas and the high heat has taken its' toll on some of the rubber hoses under the hood And also the plastic bumpers and the door molding have not weathered well.
Now I have the car in a very cold climate and the heater fan makes noise only when the heat is used, this is a very common problem with Volvo's
But dose not need too be replaced if you can stand A little humming noise from the heater fan.
General comments?
Car starts good in subzero temperatures.
Great traction in the snow and ice.
Very ergonomically designed interior.
Great top end speed of 150mph truly built For no speed limit roads of Europe.
Out corners many smaller sports cars.
A heavy car that stays on the road in high cross wind.
