1990 Volvo 940 Turbo ESTATE review from UK and Ireland

The lamdor sond sensor is on.

Some trim rattles.

Sunroof only tilts - not slides.

I brought this car with over 160,000 miles on, blind, off of eBay. I have been a volvo owner for some time (even though I am still young - a young volvo driver is still rare in UK!) and this hasn't disappointed. not many other people could bet that a 160,000 mile car would drive fine and smoothly as a matter of course - not exception - but this is a volvo and this is what they do and well. my model is the rare hpt 'turbo' model (hpt with 5 spoke alloys, matt black exterior trim instead of chrome, sports half leather, etc) with climate control, ABS, graphic equaliser stereo, etc. it will cruise all day long at 90mph (and higher if you wish) with it's quirky 4 speed plus overdrive set up and it will carry 2 six foot Christmas trees with just the back seats down and two passengers!

These cars feel like tanks! very solid build with upright driving position - you feel very safe. though it also has very comfy and heated seats!

Mine does have the emission warning light on - which I hope is just a sensor! - and the sunroof only tilts rather than slides. but at this price, who cares!!!

I would strongly recommend this car to people who treat their cars like a member of the family - if you look after one of these volvo's, they will look after you and go forever. I am proud to drive this car.
