1997 Volvo S40 SE review from UK and Ireland
"Great all round, friendly car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing has gone wrong with the car!!
General comments?
A great car to drive, safe, comfortable, reliable and enjoyable.
Front tyres only changed twice, rear once (BF Goodrich). Able to achieve 34.2 mile's to the gallon (both urban and extra urban) on average. Insurance pretty good too. In all quite friendly on a not so deep pocket.
The only downside is having to replace light bulbs every other month, due to the fact that theres so many, though this is a minor set back and a small price to pay for an outstandingly good all round motor!
I used to own a turbo 163bhp s40, which was obviously quiker though more costly. But the 2.0 se has ample performance to satisfy most drivers in need of speed once in a while.
A truly great car.
