2001 Volvo S60 2.4 T SE Auto review from UK and Ireland
"Comfortable long distance ride, but thirsty"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing major, should have bought shares in Bosch with the number of bulbs it got through!
Oh, and the inbuilt car kit stopped working in handsfree mode after a couple of years.
General comments?
Good comfort and reliability has been great over the 3.5 years I've owned the car.
Handling is pretty bad, major understeer in most corners regardless of tyre make or pressures. Acceleration good though, and it should be with 200bhp.
Servicing at main Volvo dealers well over priced - over three hundred quid for little more than an oil change!! Found a local volvo specialist which charges about half that.
Fuel consumption was about 30mpg cruising at about 80mph, dropping to around 26mpg around town.
