1998 Volvo S70 GLT review from North America
"I have a classy car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have had a complete brake job on the car. The locks on the doors have gotten stuck. For 3 consecutive years, I have taken my car to the dealer to have an air pump replaced that would always go out before the year was up. They say they replaced the air pump, but it was patched up because the last time I took it to Auto Zone for a free check and the code was leading to the air pump. What the service tech done was glued it back together and it came apart. When I returned my car to have the air pump replaced, I was told it was missing fire. So it was suggested that I get spark plugs replaced and oil changed. I called my spouse and told him what they said and he spoke to the service adviser and the next thing I knew, I was getting a new air pump. I asked to see the old air pump that was taken off. This ticked the service adviser off, but he went and got it. I took my car home and parked it. That night when I got home, my husband and I were pulling out of the garage and turn the light switch on and there were no lights. I pulled back in the garage and my husband checked and the light switch had been tampered with. There was no way no one else could have tampered with the lights because it was in the garage from the time I came home from the dealership until the night I pulled out of the garage. What do you think about that!
General comments?
I will never take my car back to that dealership again.
For a $65 replacement for a light switch that they could have fixed has cost them $1000's of dollars lost because I will no longer be a customer.
I think the car is OK. Your car could be being tampered with for lack of money on their part. Honesty is the best policy. You should get the service you paid for!
