2006 Volvo S80 AWD review from North America
"Well made and handles well, but constant disappoint to use"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Now at 54K miles the gas gauge has stopped working.
General comments?
This car has very good **usable** power. It is quite solid at 75++MPH. Just came back from 1000 mile trip with most driving at 75+ with moderate load and got 25+MPG on medium grade fuel.
Car is very well made and has more comfortable seats than my Seville had. BUT - While the option list is the same as the Seville, none of them seem to be nearly as well implemented as on the Seville. The radio and HVAC controls are much more difficult to use and understand. The back-up warning system is next to useless. What is the point of memory seats that you have to stand there in the rain, press and hold the button on the seat before you can get in? Door locks that don't make a noise or light when activated (GM lets the owner reprogram this, Volvo requires a dealer visit). Night lighting you have to activate *everytime* you want it and who's duration you can't change??? They may last longer but it's a frustrating time.
