What things have gone wrong with the car?

Nothing, it's brand new.

General comments?

A very fun car, could be faster though.

Why would anyone who rated something as being nearly perfect not buy from that manufacturer again?

The Twin Turbo is a 2.8 liter buddy. The naturally aspirated s80 is a 2.9 liter.

I bought my S80 in Sweden and saw the factory, and for people who say that Volvo quality control is bad, think again. If there are bad problems with the car, the dealer will tell the managers at the main factory in Gothenburg and the management will get on to the team of around 6 people whom built the car, and they'll be fired... my S80 is a 2.9L and for people who say it's slow, go to Germany and do 146mph like me. It's quite nice and worth a try. Plus the S80 is more spacious than the 5 Series, Lexus GS and Mercedes E-Class, so what do you think?

Buy Volvo.

I bought my first Volvo S-80 T6 in 2000. I had seen several of them on the road and I was in love with their appearance and was overwhelmed by the comments given me when I talked to their Volvo owners. I will be at the factory for my second time in October, 2004, to pick up my second Volvo S-80 T6. I have had a number of cars of different brands and I never felt so comfortable, so safe, and so convinced my car investment was sound with any of them. Also worth adding is the fact my best friend heard I was selling my present S-80 T6 and asked that he buy it from me instead of me going through my Volvo dealer or advertising in the papers.

Jack Morris, California.
