I had the car less than a year, since then the door handle trim has fallen off, the radio sounds great, but the reception is horrible. Both front struts were replaced before I took the car off the dealer. The rack and pinion steering was also replaced now the car is experiencing front end vibration, I would have to say for such a high price car the workmanship and quality is not there, will never buy a volvo again can't wait to go back to toyota or acura. This was a very expensive mistake.
In the past 24 months I've spent over $7,0000 on my 2000 S80... this car does not even have 70,000 miles on it. book value is about $6,500. and now the power steering has failed. this is the worst car/expense experience I've ever encountered. growing up on the 1980s it was not uncommon to hear people speak proudly of their Volvo's w 100-150-200K miles... clearly the Volvo quality and service no longer merit the premium associated w the brand.
I will never buy another Volvo.
