Doesn't seem so bad if its done 530,000 miles!
I concur with the above comment!
Sorry, Typo on mileage, that should have been 53,000 miles. Update: The car is still at the dealer going on 6 weeks...
Runs good for a little while when new. Then problems start
I'm the original owner. 2004 V70 manual tranny. Now 133,00 miles.
Transmission rattles on 1st-4th gears.
Sliding roof went out spontaneously.
Electric Gas door inoperable.
Radio changes stations spontaneously.
Paint on interior trims faded to white.
Front lights burn out very often.
Back leather seat ripping (almost never used; I have no kids).
Signal light stick works on and off.
Cruise control disengages by itself.
I was told Volvo cars perform on average 20 years, and the seller at the dealer told me there are Volvo cars with over 1 million miles. I'm only at 10% of that and need a new tranny (over $3000 worth of expenses!)
Please be careful with misleading dealerships.
Is there a recall for transmissions on 2004 V70's?
You should consider a Santa Fe, from Hyundai. I ditched my '04 V70 for a Santa Fe. It's a much better car, everything I expected my Volvo to be and more.
