Cup Holder Jammed.
Clunking noise when you brake and turn tight.
Thirsty.
Overall the car car is very nice and we love it.
Had a few issues with it, but since it is under factory warranty things are always sorted (Little annoying things like plastics keep breaking, cup holder been looked at twice...). The only problem is how many trips do we need to make to the service.
There is a clunking noise coming from the front when you brake and turn hard. Initially they said it was the sway bar and this was replaced. Noise came back and this time they have confirmed that it is the TRANSMISSION. Ordered from Sweden, but may take 3 weeks so will keep you posted.
I can't believe a car that has only 40 odd Ks on the it needs a new transmission. Make sure you buy the factory warranty for this.
Mine has the 4 stage auto.
The car is really nice to drive and for the bulk and weight it handles quite nicely. Love to drive and I guess would like to buy the V8 version now. It is one of those cars that you will love when you have it, but has these little issues that needs to be looked at. Volvo for Life!!!
This was a significant purchase for us so I did a lot of investigation. Finally it was between this or the LR3 (Disco3) and we went with this one simply because of the relibility of the Land Rover and also there is no space in the LR3 with the 7 seats in use.
Transmission has been replaced, but this was a campaign (a campaign in Volvo terms is a recall). Noise was finally fixed by replacing the front brake pads and rotor. That plus the 45K service cost me $840 plus GST.
So far all good...
