1948 Willys CJ-2A review from North America
"Best car I've ever owned"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Headlights weren't working when I got it. The 58 year old cloth-covered wires needed to be replaced, did that and it's been a joy ever since.

Where do you start?
It's an American classic. The CJ-2A was originally intended for pure utility and farm work. These are true workhorses.
I use mine on my farm plowing fields, seeding, bailing hay, pulling stumps -- you name it. This jeep is the first thing out in the morning and last in at night. That motor runs constantly nearly the entire day -- day after day. I've really put this jeep to work, and it's truely amazing how after 58 years it still performs as if it was brand new.
This is the vehical for anyone who needs a work truck, or a farm truck. I've found a list of over 150 attachments for this jeep (everything from bushhogs, to pto winches, air compressors, seeders, and radial saws).
We have actually ended up selling off our tractors and bought another CJ-2A. These two CJ-2As do everything and so much more than the tractors ever could.
No matter what you put in front of it, the 2A tackles it effortlessly. I've driven it in deep mud, water, and rocks -- she just keeps on trudging.
Wonderful vehicle. Extremely useful.
