What things have gone wrong with the car?

I don't have any problem with this car.

This is a best car ever produced in factory Yugo-Zastava.

General comments?

I'm very sorry Zastava never produced this car again.

The Zastava 750 is an interesting model. It was never available here in Canada. Are used models expensive in the Balkans?

FITJO -Zastava 750,was ONE of the best cars from Kragujevac car factory!!Goat of cars!! There were no roads in former Yugoslavia where Fitjo was not present.Simple, folks car! I here that license went to Turkey, but newer get realy info on it.

If now days, anyhow, Fitjo get back it could be THE MOST WANTED car in the Balkans!!More nowdays style and it could be seen on the streets of Pari`, and I personally have seen one in San Francisco!!

Prize will probably run around $ 3,000 and that is all!!

If there is any smart guy with the money, to start production, he could be new Mr. Ford!

To answer the question above about getting a 750 - they are kind of hard to come by these days since the last model was manufactured back in '85-86. A used one can run anywhere from $100-$700 depending on condition. Of course, collectors might pay more, but don't be fooled!

The Fiat/Zastava 600/600D/750 was one of the greatest all-around cars ever. I owned a '58 633cc and 767cc D models built in '65 and '67 (2). The first two were bought new and the other two I got from scrap yards and totally rebuilt although they had been "runners" when I got them.

Thanks to Dante Giacosa for a truly innovative and enjoyable car!

My opinion:really good car. Engine works perfectly. it takes 5.5l/100km, cooled with water. I am the owner of zastava since 1980.10 years it works perfectly, but when gear box broke down I bought fiat 126 and my baby had to wait till today.I've already renew it. And i'm looking forward when I started engine one more time. Mikel from Poland.

It's lovely to read everyones comments. This summer I spent 2 weeks traveling around Croatia and I found this beautiful little car and it stole my heart. The Zastava 750 and it came in every colour possible. I spoke to a few local people to find out how much I could, but one for, they didn't think much of the car and said about 1000kuna which is about £100. My challenge is set I need to buy one! Hi there.

I have two of them "ficho's" in my back yard, but I’m afraid they have not moved for about 5 years now and there are a few chicken regularly on the back seat. I have all the engine parts and more than enough spares in the garage attic and I keep meaning to rebuild it one day… we’ll see…

Today I saw a 1984 Zastava 750 with ONLY 12,000km or 7500 miles, orginial color (EVERYTHING IN 10/10 shape). Cost 1500 Euros. But I am into VW so... I am not very fond of Zastava. Although I have plans for buidling my own car with Zastava 750/850 parts. Light chassis 30bhp...rocks!

We also have zastava 750 at our garage, it's repaired and like new! In Slovenia, price of that car is rising last few years. I found here a page where you can buy miniature of that car:

Last year zastava factory opened spare parts shop near by Kragujevac city. There could be found parts only for older types of zastava vehicles such as Zastava 1300/1500,Z 850,Z 132,Z 750/850 (Fiat 600d)...,and most important, parts are very cheap!Front wing (body pannel) is about 700 dinars/8 Eur, set of pistons 10-15 Eur...

I think they have all parts for these cars.

According to prices, quality of these parts are not so good, but it can do the job.

And about car prices, my neighbour have Zastava 750 from 1981.I asked him to sell me the car, and his price was 60 Eur. Car is drivable, complete, and has a little corrosion on floor panels and sills. And there`s 86 000 km on the clock. Interior is in good shape, but need to be restored, especially seats. Engine runs good and has no oil consumption!

Cheers!Milan from Belgrade, Serbia.
