Ignition is locked up when trying to start the car after the steering wheel was left in a non-straight position when the car was turned off previously. This is remedied by turning the wheel back and forth while trying to start the ignition.
Car begins to jerk when going up an incline after the car has been traveling for atleast 2-4 hours. This continues to worsen until the car is shut off for a long period of time. The most recent occasion of this resulted in the car dying while driving down the street and needing to be towed.
The car performs well for a sports car until something goes wrong with it.
My car has been in the shop for two days now passing every test that they can perform on it and they cannot figure out what the vibration/dying problem is resulting from.
My 35th anniv. cougar had a similar "jerking" problem... turns out the transmission needed torn down and replaced because the torque converter or something went bad. :/ Only had 45k miles on it too. Junk.
