Transition on car has broken down twice while I was driving the car. once in a very bad neighborhood and I was stuck for a while. then broke down again a couple months later while I was driving full speed highway95 s. with 2 daughters in car, so two transmissions have broken down on me.
It makes me nervous that it is going to break down again and lexus could care less.
They told me they went over and above what they were obligated to do and can't promise me it won't break again.
Lexus wouldn't return phone calls.
Lexus wouldn't put anything in writing.
Lexus wouldn't work with me on buying the car back from me.
I'm afraid of my car.
I do not recommend it.
I wouldn't even be writing this now if lexus really did have the "lexus experience" superior service they brag about.
No one will give me a higher number to call than the 1800 national number and they are no help.
"I'm afraid of my car."
- Then get rid of the piece of junk!
What is a transition? I bet you don't even own this vehicle if you can't even spell. I would think someone buying a $40K car is educated.
I couldn't believe that you took the time to add the highway number 95s, but did not even bother to mention the miles of the Lexus when the "transition" broke - twice - if I recall.
Why not give more useful information since you took the time to post anyway. Waste of time.
I also have problems with my transmission. The car often lurches when driving. After researching the problem, it turns out that it is a common problem with the RX330. My Lexus dealer denies any problems with the transmission, even though there have been a substantial number of complaints.
I am considering buying an 05' RX330 from a dealer touting the 3yr/100,000 warranty. This is the first I have read of transmission problems. Can anyone else speak to this? Or, recommend a site where the problems may be found?
Own a 2004 RX330... bought with 40,000 miles... put 30,000 on it without a problem... my 1st SUV and the for sure the transmission is not like driving a sedan, but nothing wrong as far as I can tell.
