2004 Chevrolet Aveo LS from North America - Comments

I am writing you to let people know about how I was treated at this dealership and by GM. Purchase date:12/17/2005.

After one month of purchasing the vehicle the water pump was replaced.

There have been numerous fuses that have been replaced.

The cylinders, valves, and seals have been replaced.

As the yr continued the vehicle has had the gear shaft replaced, fuel pump, transmission, thermostat, emissions were coming in the car, the vehicle also has shut off 5 times while driving, one time it was due to a bulletin that was built into the car.

Some of the other breakdowns were caused by a bad crank shaft modular and the others are unknown.

The master computer was reset two weeks ago on 12/29/2006.

My vehicle is now in the shop due to breaking down on 1/13/2006. The vehicle over heated and died in motion (break down number 4).The vehicle was parked all weekend and my fiance and I took the vehicle on Monday to the dealership. On the way to the dealership it broke down and my fiancé who has health problems pushed the vehicle to the dealership! 0.5 miles to the dealership he pushed the vehicle! The vehicle died in motion for the 5 the time by over heating also had no lights, no brakes, no horn, and no radio! The vehicle is now at the dealership and GM has been contacted bout all of the vehicles problems.

The vehicle was just in the shop this past weekend it would not start on Friday 1/26/2007. The vehicle was towed to the shop on Saturday. I was into another rental. The manager at the dealership tried to blame me for pulling on some fuses of them were lose. I did not touch them! They all could have vibrated loose. The conclusion that the dealership came up with was to put a wire ties on the black fuse box!

I purchased the vehicle from a dealership here in DE. Nucar Chevy 174 N. Dupont Hwy New Castle, DE. With everything that has gone wrong to the vehicle. Why would I mess with my only vehicle? On 3/19/2007 I lost the vehicle due to a vehicle fire. The vehicle cut off for the final time, at the red light my fiance was making a left and the check engine light and ABS light was coming on. He heard crackling and then saw smoke, followed by flames coming out of the vent. My vehicle was gone by the time the fire depart arrived!

Sounds like a good riddance! I am going through simler troubles with my cobalt. I am just cringing thinking about my warranty being up in 1500 miles!!! what did you get next?
