Air conditioner compressor, automatic transmission, all four struts, spark coils, air mass sensor, vehicle stability control computer, frequent brake pad replacement, leather on driver's seat not wearing well even with small, female driver.
Disappointment. This Lexus is no more or less troublesome than my Acura, Honda Prelude, and Chrysler Town and Country Limited. Unfortunately, Toyota/Lexus charges outrageous prices for their repair parts. Some Lexus dealers are very good at selling service that is not required by the car's manufacturer. In return for this abuse, however, they do wash your car and give women roses when they pick-up the car.
Sounds like the car was abused. Were you the first owner? Just like any car if it isn't properly maintained they will break. People seem to get the idea that Lexus' don't need to be maintained and will still run forever. That is not the case.
If you've had as much trouble with previous cars that you've had with this one, maybe it's you - not the car.
