Nothing much
Perhaps its still new
Fuel consumption is not that econimical.
Good, fun, car to drive in the city.
Cheaper than Kia Picanto, but have lesser ammneties.
Easy to park, and quite a responsive engine.
I just bought a new naza citra from yours dealer in alor setar and my car just 2 weeks old, my complaints is when I drive this car after 100km p/h, the stering is shacking & the body feel not stable, my wonder is how can ur said this car is enjoyed during driving and I feel stupid & ur cheeting me. PLS GET BACK ASAP WZ THE EXPLANATION TO ME AT 013-6358839.
Seems like you are a novice. Experience driver knows this is either due to wheel alignment or wheel balancing problem. It is such a simple fix and yet you are making hell lot of noise here. I am not a Citra fan, either, I don;t own a Naza car, but this is the most basic knowledge that every car owner should know...
I'm buy naza citra sept 2006, my problem for my car is:-
1.radiator leaking
2.steering shaking
3.noisy
4.fuel so expensive -100km for rm35 in town/long journey-1ookm for rm25
5.not comfortable when speeding.
I, m so stupid buy this car, but what can I do?.. I hope naza open their eyes to solve this basic problem. THANKS
Before I bought Naza Citra I was quite reluctant due to some bad comments placed. However, I've made up my mind and bought it in August 2006.After a year experiencing the driving, I was shock that Naza Citra is not bad at all... it is a very good car... suspension system is superb... accelaration is good... I often travel from kl to Alor Setar (my wife hometown), Kl to Johor (my hometown)...full consumption: RM85 up to 500 km... for speed limit up to 120 km/h to 130 km/h.. not bad for 2000 cc... even my old wira (1.5) consumed RM75 for same millage.. extra RM10 for better speed and stability... The fastest that I've ever tried is 170 km/h and still stable and it can accelerate further..I've add up booster (approved by Kia) to my citra and I'm not facing problem climbing gua tempurung route or even cameron highland.. it is a very nice car at a very affordable price... you cannot compare citra with Avanza... Avanza is just like Pasar Malam van... It is how you care your car... regular service...always check your tyre pressure, alignment/balancing and etc.. and you'll be rewarded...don't just buy and drive... then complaint stereng shakingla... not stablelah...try driving merzedez with flat tyre... shaking or not...stupid...buy one and enjoy...chow.
My dad brought a Citra last year because I am going to other place to study. Everyday, I travel from Sg Long to Semenyih where my campus is located. For the first time I drive this car, I have a good feeling about it. Accerelation is good and the brake system is superb. I alr drove it for nearly 1 and a half years and what can I say is, this is a good car.
Although the fuel consumption is not that economical that is around RM80 for 480++ km, but if you can drive it properly with the guidance from naza about how to preserve more gas for further journey, I can achieve RM80 for 600++ km. (Wish to know my method?, mail me at pig2-faiem@hotmail.com)
So long I drive this car, I ever speed up to 175km/h and still very stable and still accelerate. This car is about Rm70k, so plz dont compare this car with others better car. for car prices around 70k, this car performance alr tiptop and affordable. When I go to service my car in Ipoh, the people who responsible is friendly and willingly give advice to my problems. This is what we want. Now my car has nearly ODO 50000++, and still no major problems happen. I was glad my dad bought me this fabulous car.
Very stable, powerful engine with good braking system. but the sound proof is not that efficient. I was tried to cover the door holes with silicon glue, it's improve a lot. any other idea, please don't mind to share.
For sound proof, I used to advised my friend to install the sound-proof system to his old-junk Wira 1.8 DOHC Limited Edition, and it's works to him.
Hope this will works as the same as at this Citra.
Hi All & TO all Naza Citra users;
I have some questions regarding suspension. It is mentioned in brochures (either hard copy or soft copy on the net) that for:
1. Front, using MacPherson strut with coil spring
2. Rear, using Dual Link with Shock Absorber (Gas)
But no anti-roll bars are mentioned.
Do the front and the rear suspension utilize anti-roll bars? If yes, may I know the sizes (in mm) for Front and Rear anti-roll bars.
Nowadays, anti-roll bars are considerd the main feature in stability control & safety.
Even my old junk Wira 1.8 DOHC (year 1996) also had that feature.
Hope to hear very good news from you guys (and an answer as well!)
I bought my citra in may 2005 now the radiator is leaking may I know the cost to repair it.
I feel compelled to share my experience after reading all earlier comments in this forum. I'm a mechanical engineer by training and by profession, with 17 years work experience, mostly in areas of equipment maintenance and reliability. As a technical person, I'm going to base my comments purely on technical grounds, putting aside my sentiment.
A bit background:
1) Bought my CITRA GLS in Oct '06.
2) Mileage as of this morning (14 Dec '07) : close to 26,000 km
3) Driving conditions over last 14 months: mostly town/city driving (from my home in USJ to KL) ; occasional balik kampung to Kuala Pilah
4) Regular servicing at prescribed intervals, the last one being at 20,000 km
5) Place of service: NAZA workshop, Jln Tandang, PJ.
A) On radiator leak
--------------------
Just came back from sending my car to the PJ workshop this morning. I was on my way to work when, suddenly the "Check Engine" light came off. Made a quick detour to the workshop. By the time I arrived, the water temperature indicator had shot up to the maximum.
Conversation with service supervisor and workshop manager pointed to "crack" in the radiator. They informed me it's a common problem with Year 2006 Citra. They will bear the repair and replacement cost as it is under warranty.
My immediate question was: why in the world did NAZA not make a recall of ALL CITRA model assembled during the period in question since they already knew the problem with the radiator? I was lucky as it happened to me while I was near PJ area. I pity those who have to go through this while they are outstation somewhere, far from towns/city centers. Would NAZA bear the cost of towing and all the hassles?
In a more developed society and with a more reputable company (Japan, Australia, US, UK), the manufacturer would have made a recall, asking car owners to bring in their vehicles to the nearest workshop for replacement, F.O.C. No questions asked! Poor us, Malaysians!
From technical standpoint, no radiator should crack or leak at 26,000 km under normal driving conditions. My previous vehicle, fully assembled in Europe, never had radiator problem even after reaching 180,000 km. NAZA seriously need to look at its Engineering capabilities and processes (including that of its vendors) if it were to last long and compete at international level.
2) On fuel consumption
---------------------
Here's a quick comparison, all under mixed driving condition:
Citroen Evasion, 2.0L, manual x-mission, 1997 model: 22.5 miles/gallon, or 957 km/100 L, or 20.1 sen/km, or 498 km/RM100 based on RM 1.92/L petrol price.
Naza CITRA GLS, 2.0L, automatic x-mission, 2006 model: 21.5 miles/gallon, or 914 km/100 L, or 21.0 sen/km, or 476 km/RM100 based on RM 1.92/L petrol price.
So, given that my CITRA is an automatic car (which generally consumes more petrol than an equivalent manual car), I'd say the fuel consumption is not that bad. It only takes a bit of getting used to.
To put this in perspective, here's another comparison:
Suzuki SWIFT, 1.5L, automatic x-mission, 2007 model:
30.0 miles/gallon, or 1,276 km/100 L, or 15.0 sen/km, or 664 km/RM100, based on fuel price of RM1.92/km.
But of course, the SWIFT is a smaller capacity engine.
M45term1nd.
My Citra GLS which I bought in February 2006, the engine die off while driving on highway in September last year and again last week on busy traffic in KL. Luckily, managed to restart the engine and move on to the nearest service center. Too bad, the technician could not advice and detect what went wrong with the car. Next week I'll send the car for checking again for the same reason. Is anyone Citra's owner out-there has this kind of problems, please advice... for information the mileage is still below 50000 km.
I'm not the owner of a Citra, but very-very interested to have one. But, when reading all these comments, I'm feel scared to have it. Instead of all these comments, I'm also asking my friend (a Citra owner) for their comments, also going to radiator leakage... but for my personal opinion, it is our luck.. maybe...so for the next step, I'm still thinking, still considering, either to have it or the other car..
I bought my CItra in October 2007. Since then I have driven it to Kelantan (KB and a few other places), Johor (Batu Pahat & Muar), Perak (Ipoh area) and of course all over the Klang valley. It drives beautifully even at high speed. Oklah I admit that it does not handle as well as a Lamborghini. Its fuel consumption is definitely high if you compare it to a kancil or a myvi but look at the engine capacity and the body sizelah. My only disappointment is with the radio / cd player - too obviously cheap. My kids love the dvd player but I don't so much because I'm getting a little tired of hearing Harry Potter movies on the long hauls.
Over all, I would recommend this car to anyone with a growing family.
Hi all citra owner, I glad to hear all the problem and comment in this site. Actually I planed to buy a citra for me in this month. previously I owned a waja 1.6 2000 that was a marvelous car for me. but I have to let it go because of the age of the car reaching to 9 years old. I really want some advised on how to maintained this citra and is it worthier I buy GLS or GS spek?
