2007 Toyota VIOS 1.5 E from Singapore - Comments

Slight noise pollution perhaps due to the wheels.

Steering gets in the driver's way when entering the car, even if is adjusted to the highest level and seat adjusted to lowest.

Highly reliable car, had just switch to the latest 2007 model 1.5 E. Previously owns a older 2006 1.5G Vios model, as I found that is very good make all round, decided to change to this new model as the elegant look and interior space totally won me over.

So far I enjoy every ride in it, very smooth ride and feels like you are driving one of those "luxury"

cars. Car sit is much more comfortable, body hugging. Plenty of leg room, especially at the back. Some do not like the light steering, but personally I luv it, as I had driven the older model, the new model allows ease of manoeuvring especially around corners and parking.

Engine is smooth, responsive and powerful for this category of car. Sound system has been upgraded. Plenty of "hidden" compartment for stuff.

I have no problem with getting in and out of the car because of the steering wheel at 5,7" tall. I agree with you that this is much better than the previous model, the 4 wheel disc brakes are better, it is heavier, but stable, roomier due to the rear flat floor. This car is a perfect daily ride. The only problem I got so far is the rattling sound of the driver side window w/c the Dealer immediately fixed.I can go 13-14 kms/Liter of Petrol on my mixed city/highway drive.The audio/mode steering wheel controls as well as the map lights are functional.Optitron gauges and airbags are available.Value for money! if you are looking for an economy car with luxury features, this is for you.

I just bought this car I month back, it is very impressive with the fuel consumption... the handling is good no doubt about it, even the absorber are softer than the previous VIOS, inside stuffs reliable and very durable...

The only thing I don't like the engine is a bit noisy, even when you travel at low speed.

At this time of escalating fuel price, would you mind sharing the fuel consumption of your current Vios and the older Vios, since you own both? Is it true that the new Vios is not as fuel efficient as the previous model?

The good fuel economy of this Vios is the most important factor that attracts me to it.
