"A Great Car, That Will You So Many Great Memories!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Radiator Went out at 126000 (It was the original Radiator), So I changed the water pump and the thermostat too. Because they will go out on these cars (It's normal for them)

plus, the last time I took it to the shop, they told me you have to change your clutch and the fly wheel.

General comments?

This is my first car and I absolutely love my BMW 325is, I think it's a great car and it's so fun to drive.

We all know that BMW's are expensive for maintenance, but to be honest I don't care. Because the car makes up for it in looks and performance. It's a real chick magnet and it's 10 years old.

I am going to keep this forever hopefully and when the engine goes out I'll drop a M3 engine in it.

I am now planning to buy an e46 BMW M3.

I have a 325is too. You are right; maintenance is expensive, but I love the way the car drives, and its road presence. I actually like the E36 better than the E46 - its more sporty. I'm going to keep my 325is for a long time. My plans are to supercharge the motor. When the motor goes out I'm going to have it rebuilt with performance parts. This will be faster than a 3.0 or 3.2 liter E36 m50 motor - they produce around 240 horses. I'll be pushing out close to 400 horses at the rear wheels. I'm just another BMW lover, keep it clean!

Define expensive. My 1994 318i has been the best car that I have owned. It is much more affordable to keep up than, for instance, my Mercury Cougar ever was. Whenever I take my car to the shop, they rarely find any problems and when they do, I do not feel the panic that I have had with other cars because I know that even the most expensive parts for these cars can be had relatively cheaply. Granted, I am all about preventive maintenance, but I do know some other people (who do not have as much money) who have had bigger, more complicated BMWs and they have been able to afford the maintenance just fine. My favorite part about BMWs is that they are incredibly well-designed, so labor is not expensive IF they break.
