Absolutely nothing!
I recently purchased a 1999 Sedan DeVille. It is the best car I have ever purchased, and I have owned quite a few. All my life I was a Mercedes man (and I owned the Jaguar VP6).
This year was my first purchase of an American automobile. Really it's the BEST AUTOMOBILE I HAVE EVER PURCHASED. I had never been inside a Cadillac before until I purchased this one, and MAN, WAS I IMPRESSED. I must admit I was MUCH more impressed with Cadillac than I had been with Mercedes.
The ride is SMOOTH. The performance is like NEW! The inside and outside are MINT CONDITION. I drive it with my family, and I have passed by home many times because we are not ready to get out of it. AND WE ARE TALKING ABOUT A 1999 DE VILLE with 78000 miles, and the only expense I have had is an oil change and tune up!
Thank you Cadillac. I didn't get rid of the Mercedes, but I just haven't driven it since I sat in the Caddy!
Congratulations, but let's hope you don't end up being one of the many people disappointed by their Cadillac. Hopefully, you won't be writing telling about horror stories about oil leaks, overheated engine, and vibrations which nobody can find.
Well I bought a 1999 deville and was really impressed for a year, it had 124000k when I bought it, it now has 190000 on it. Before this car I had a 1994 Saturn which I wish I still had as the Cadillac is one of the biggest financial drains I have ever had. First the ABS and traction control light then the check engine light, something about a valve stuck in the transmission now the other day when I went to shift it the steering wheel snapped out of my hands and spun around and now it will hardly turn to the right, something let go in the rack. I definitely would not recommend this car unless you have lots of money for repairs and up keep, it is probably the nicest car I have ever owned and the biggest piece of junk I have ever owned.
Cadillac is one of the biggest financial drains I have ever had. The check engine light stays on something about a valve stuck in the transmission. I can't seem to find out what the problem is.
I bought my Caddy in May 2004, great car, recently I replaced the exhaust system and now the rear head gasket, it wasn't cracked thank God, I like it but I am having more repairs now I only have 128,000 kms on it, I was told Northstar is not such a good engine, my mechanic says I should get rid of it, he thinks next will be the engine.
