"FUN!!!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

1. Clutch master cylinder.

2. C. V Joint Boots.

3. Brake Hose (Front Right)

4. Driver Seat beginning to fray.

5. Clutch/pressure plates need replacing.

6. 2nd Gear Synchros need replacing / servicing.

7. Central Locking stopped working on rear left door.

8. carburettor needs constant adjustments.

9. handbrake doesn't work too well anymore.

General comments?

I own a 1994 fiat uno Pacer SX 5dr 1.4 petrol with 5spd manual gearbox. this is my first vehicle, and most of the problems that I experienced were as a direct result of the previous owner's gross neglect of the car. it performs quite well for a 1400, and is relatively low-cost to maintain. its acceleration is phenomenal! handling is superb for a car of its class and weight... top speeds are not all that good (probably due to the condition of the clutch) and a few strange noises are coming from the front left wheel. overall it's a stunning car and I'm enjoying it! it's a good choice for a beginner car as it is very comfortable and phenomenally easy to drive... I think it deserves an 8/10!

I have had exactly the same ocurrences as you. The noise that you hear on the left could possibly be the wheel like you say, but you might like to check the rear engine mounting, as this is a common problem with Uno's. The rubber gets worn out and the metal on metal noise starts.

I hope this will help.

Update: the wierd noise was actually the front left wheelbearing.

I also drive a uno pacer sx 95 model. I would like to state that I am 24 years old and I have had about seven or 8 cars. I had golf and nissan and honda. I bought my uno 2 years ago with 113,000km on the clock. I had problems with my brake hoses, shocks, carburetor and distributer module. I have fixed it and I give it regular service. My uno has just under 200,000km on the clock now. I am proud to say that I love my car; it uses no oil, water and doesn't even smoke. I recently had an accident with it and fixed the bonnet, grill, both headlights and bumper. The parts are all black on my ruby red uno, but I wil drive it for as long as I can. It just doesn't stop going. My uno gives me a maximum speed of 189km/h and my average petrol consumption is 13 km/l. I love my uno.
