Had the brown sludge purged out of the cooling system (or tried to). It actually ruined the mechanics pump system. I was told this is common in these heaps.
Car will run hot...cool...hot...cool...hot... need I go on.
After driving for a while it wants to stall because the idle control decides not to work right. This is also NEW...
Replaced the warped rotors and pads when I bought it. Another common issue I found out.
The interior lights like to stay on at times, like a door is stuck open, so I get out and slam all the doors shut in a fit of rage, this usually works.
Transmission likes to slip every once in a while when the AC compressor kicks on or off. This is annoying.
AC in this car is amazing!!! The coldest car AC ever.
Possibly the slowest car with absolutely no "you know whats" (rhymes with halls) I have ever owned.
Ford never got it right with these wonderful transmissions.
These cars look like a catfish! Seriously, look at one. You must admit, they are pretty ugly.
What idiot designed the radio in this car?
Quite possibly the most uncomfortable seats ever made. My friends Subaru has rock hard seats, but these are worse.
I will be getting rid of this thing in the next couple of weeks, 1500 miles is long enough.
It still looks good in and out, and the last owner took care of it, but I think it hates me, so it's gotta go.
The brake problem - agreed, but it's an easy fix.
The air conditioning - agreed its the best I've encountered.
The cooling problem - You'll find this happens when it hasn't been changed often enough and you're too cheap for a $10 bottle of antifreeze with a built in corrosion inhibiter.
The speed - I've only driven the duratec model and loved giving the wannabe boyracers in their clapped out skyline turbos a run for their money. I also did a 200 mile trip starting at 4.30am once - NZ state highways are two lane, twisty, hilly nightmare roads, but I got there by 7am.
The comfort - I've owned an LX and a Ghia - both top spec models, but leather and electrics only known difference between these and the GL. These cars are equally as comfortable as the new Jaguar XJ8. Perhaps your one had stuffed shocks? Or perhaps rubbish tyres? I often took my tauraii on long trips and only ever stopped when they needed filling up - completely comfortable.
As for the looks - if you can't stand being different then why did you buy it?
My guess is that you didn't even own one - you're just a hater and a loser with nothing to do. Your comments are completely groundless.
