Failed fuel pump, leaving the car unable to start.
Failed turbo to manifold gasket, resulting in power loss and lots of noise.
Leaking inter-cooler due to corrosion.
Boost solenoid failed leading to low boost.
Rust on inner front wings.
Rust on rear wheel arches.
Air conditioning doesn't work.
Car drives very well when it is going, however I have suffered several niggles with the car. Parts are also expensive, and I find the driving position awkward as the steering wheel is too close.
I have fitted a performance air filter, uprated fuel pump and mechanical boost controller, and the car is producing around 220bhp at present, so it easily leaves most newer cars at the lights.
I must get the welder out and fix the rusty areas, otherwise it will fail its next MOT.
Reliability wise it has been disappointing. Being Japanese I expected total reliability, but it turns out to be less reliable than my previous Fiat Coupe 16 valve turbo, which was chipped and tuned to a high level.
The styling is also as bland as it gets, which to some people is a bonus; for me I prefer to stand out from the crowd.
Good review. My Previous 200sx suffered many similar issues.
