1993 Acura Integra RS from North America - Comments

"So far, a costly upgrade!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

1. Clutch.

2. Seal between the transmission & the engine (7 hours to take out the transmission = $$$$).

3. Water pump.

4. Ring gear corroded?

General comments?

Very, very quick car for a 4 cylinder. But I'm

sort of disappointed with the reliability so far... I hope for my wallet's sake that Acura's good name will live up to my expectations!

You must drive your clutch wrong for that to happen... and why in the world would it take 7 hours to pull a tranny from an Integra... if they knew what they were doing it would be more like 3 hours of total work... oh well.

Yeah I agree, anyone who takes 7 hours to pull a tranny out of an Integra either doesn't know what they are doing or is trying to run up the bill. Or it's a combination of the two. Did you know what was wrong or did you just trust them?

I think you're disappointed in YOUR mechanic's good name. He or she took you to the cleaners. And your wallet. Sorry, it happen to you.
