"It was perfect up to 60k"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

This is my second follow up. at 60k the truck developed a shake at highway speeds. turns out I needed new wheel bearings and shocks. since my prior vehicle (a four runner with 253k) never needed either I was more than a bit disappointed.

Other than these 2 problems it's been fine. I still average 30-34 mpg city/highway driving.

General comments?

Mazda recommends the wheel bearings to be checked every 30,000 miles. The shocks should be checked at 50,000 miles. The replacement of these items is normal wear and tear. Follow the owners manual that came with your vehicle and this vehicle will last a long time.
