1990 Citroen AX GT from Norway - Comments

The bulb for the heater-control panel went, and one of the mounts for the drivers-seat is loose. Some rust here and there..

Not had it for so long though..

I love this car; there is something distinctive about it. Like the red dash board light, the red stripes around the dash and especially the red stripes in the carpet. I also bought it a CD player with a red display.

I had also never thought a 1.4 could be so quick, though it is perhaps not so quick compared to Japanese cars/rice boilers..? Easy to tune though. Whatever, it's quick enough.

Feels sturdy, but that's perhaps the only positive thing to say about that.. Lies good on the road with 165 65 14 tires.

Love this car. It's like a boring, soul-less Opel/Toyota whatever driving machine, just not boring and silly - it's a Citroen. I love this car.

I owned a couple of axgt's years ago and used to run a website called 'axgtworld' I agree they are a quick old thing, but brakes were appalling and body is very flimsy, but it couldnt half corner well!

And that loose seat mounting is more likely to be a crack in the floorpan which will need welding, both my axgt's had this fault.

Enjoy the ax tho, simple straighforward fun, easy to fix and much better than a saxo vtr :)
