Rear Strut came loose after the first day, dealer repaired it... problem never came back.
Rear signal bulbs are always burning out. Bought a bulk pack... and now I replace as required.
The car cost me 11,700 bucks CAN brand new. It has zero options. I get 35MPG in the city, and 48MPG on the highway. The tranny lets me shift as fast as I can without any problems. I love this car. Bang for my buck it is great. It is not fancy at all. The interior is not well built. The exterior is bland. But I am on a budget, and can not afford to worry about such detials.
For such a small motor, it sure does have some power to it.
I trust this car on 12 hour trips to my parents place every year. I have nearly 60,000kms on it, without any problems at all except for what is listed above.
The seats are not comfortable at all.
I plan to keep it untill it dies.
I know people who buy gutless toyotas and get roughly the same gas mileage as my cav. The corolla and echo/yaris are MUCH slower. Sure they are built 10x better....but they cost 6 grand more.
I'm not so sure the Corolla is any better built than your Cav. I've never seen anything that indicated that. The only cars that have EVER left us stranded on the highway were Corollas with less than 40,000 miles on them.
First cars these rock.
