When I had bought my blazer lt, we got it for 9500. Not bad. After getting it, the car smelled horrible, like dead fish. Turns out three weeks later the heater core blew. Pain to fix.
In the following July, the alternator went out.
The ignition/starte has a hard time in the summer due to the heat.
My radiator cracked, replaced water pump. Be careful when replacing water pump, you might put a hole in the radiator.
Currently, I have had two cylinoids replaced in the transmission. And still need the valve body replaced in the Transmission.
The engine is leaking a copius amount of fluid out the back of the block.
Other than that I love it... despite all the problems. I love my blazer, I suppose you get all those problems for putting 50000 on it in 3 years.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND MERCURY SABLE LS. BAD CAR.
The Car is very well handling, comfortable. Looks small, but has a sufficient abount of space inside. Especially for moving. Great for camping in. My blazer gives me the feeling of being safe when I drive it.
My previous car, 88 mercury sable ls. Not a good car, electrical, engine, fuel pump, transmission, radiator, water pump. Any thing that could go wrong with that model did. HOWEVER, The car was very stable and safe, when it came into an accident.
You may want to write a separate review of your Sable.
